New Location = New Adventures at Wise Wonders Science & Discovery Museum

Stepping through the doors of the recently relocated Wise Wonders Science and Discovery Museum will give anyone the impression that Billings took a step forward this week. In October, the steadily growing children’s Museum made the move from their location at 110 North 29th Street to 3024 2nd Avenue North in Downtown Billings.

Like the children who have grown and learned and played at Wise Wonders Science and Discovery Museum over the last 10 years, so too has the Museum and the former Good Earth Market seems to be the perfect next step for this beloved family-friendly gem. “The future is bright for Wise Wonders, this move is just the beginning of big things to come for us,” reflects museum Executive Director, Pete Bolenbaugh.

The new 6,000 square foot facility gives eager little learners room to roam and play, with plenty of opportunities to discover. Interactive exhibits fill the space with everything from large building blocks to a miniature cityscape and a giant mouth for teeth brushing, water play and more. The museum now also has the space and potential to develop even further. With additional donor funding, an upstairs space will add even more square footage - ideas on the table include such things as think tank space and a science lab for more advanced science exploration.

Bolenbaugh is passionate about STEM and is looking forward to creating programming that will include themes as well as activities for a wide variety of ages. 

You’re Invited: A Grand Re-Opening Celebration

To celebrate their new location, Wise Wonders Science and Discovery Museum will host an open house this Saturday, November 9, 2019 from 3-7pm. Admission is free to the public; donations are always appreciated.

Entry to the Museum, normally $5 per person, memberships will be for sale during the Open House (and beyond).
