Bastienne, a shepherdess, fears that her “dearest friend," Bastien, has forsaken her for another pretty face, and decides to go into the pasture to be comforted by her flock of lambs. This title is in the public domain. 'A Musical Evening at Choufleuri's' Composed by Jacques Offenbach. Mr. Choufleuri is about to present a big, expensive musical for all of Paris when his three principal singers defect from the project. Last- minute replacements are provided by Mr. Choufleuri’s daughter, Ernestine; her lover, Babylas (whom Ernestine sneaks into the event); and Mr. Choufleuri himself. Babylas uses this occasion to force Choufleuri into granting him Ernestine’s hand in marriage along with a large dowry. This title is in the public domain. 'The Sound of Music'

National Poetry Month Celebration: Poetry Night
Billings Public Library National Poetry Month Celebration: Poetry Night Tuesday, April 30 @ 6:30pm Take a deep dive into your creative spaces as Billings Pubic Library invites the community to partake in National Poetry Month. The poetry contest runs from March 18-April 12, and the winners (to be announced on April 23) will be invited to read their poem at the Poetry Night celebration on April 30. Winners will be selected for Children (ages 0-12), Youth (ages 13-19), and Adults (ages 20+) with prizes awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in each group, thanks to a generous donation from The Friends of the Library. The celebration includes a guest speaker discussing poetry as an art form, and its significance, along with light refreshments. Tour de Fleur 2019
Shiloh Crossing Tour de Fleur Sunday, May 5 @ 11:30am, check-in/registration | 12pm, 15-mile start | 12:45pm, 1.5/5-mile start Ladies, spring is in the air, and it is time to check those tires and pull those bicycles out of the garage for the 4th annual Tour de Fleur! This flower-filled ride is for ladies of all ages and abilities and encourages physical activity and camaraderie among women. Each year this special event has grown, and the organizers are expecting more of the same with the addition of a third, 15-mile route (there are also 1.5 and 5-mile routes). The rides begin in front of the NeeCee’s South Harper, Country Cottage, Levity area with the signature giant petal toss (sponsored by SCRaP). The day is full of festivities with live music, refreshments, food trucks, shopping, raffle prizes, Shops at Shiloh Crossing shopping opportunities, vendor booths, and Riddle’s Jewelry will once again be handing out goodie bags at the end of the rides.
