Memorialize the Milestones
We were designed to grow…continually…for the rest of our lives. We were never intended to stay the same, level out, or reach a destination and call it good. There’s a part of our inner wiring that craves growth. We want to become better. We have to develop and nurture a mindset that understands the process for growth, which includes failing, responding to, and overcoming resistance.
When I think of the word Celebrate, so many thoughts spring to mind: bright colors, excitement, and laughter. Of course, there are the traditional birthdays, graduations, and anniversaries to celebrate, but, the older I get, the more I am choosing to find daily things to celebrate. Sometimes I bake for no reason at all except to celebrate that we are in good health.
Celebrating the Everyday
It’s the moment you’ve been waiting for. Your precious, adorable one-year-old is about to smash the beautifully decorated cake you made into her face, licking the icing between picture-perfect smiles and giggles. You’ll simultaneously soak it all up and capture it on camera.
