Coloring Contest Celebrates Elephant & Piggie Visit on April 6. Billings Public Library. Pick up your coloring page at the Children’s Desk or at billingslibrary.org, starting March 5. Return the completed coloring page to the Children’s Desk before 10:30am on April 6 to be entered into a drawing for a plush pig puppet and an Elephant & Piggie book! Must be present to win.

Calling All Poets! Billings Public Library invites you to celebrate National Poetry Month by participating in a poetry contest with cash prizes thanks to a generous donation from The Friends of the Library. Submissions accepted March 18-April 12. Winners announced April 23. Winners will get to share their winning submission at the Poetry Night Celebration on April 30. Contest broken into three age groups: Children (ages 0-12), Youth (ages 13-19), Adults (ages 20+). Prizes awarded to 1st, 2nd, 3rd places in each group. Submission guidelines: billingslibrary.org. Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA). In-person tax assistance available at HRDC in Billings and Hardin late Jan-mid-April. VITA provides free income tax return prep and electronic filing for individuals and families who make less than $54,000 annually. The Friends of the Billings Library accept book donations M-F from 10am-12pm.  FYI: Donations may also be left on the designated bottom shelves in the Book Nook. Volunteers staff the workroom on the library's 1st floor next to the Sweet Cafe.

Billings Clinic offers free Brain and Spinal Cord Injury Prevention education for grade school children through the ThinkFirst program.
