Saying farewell to a familiar face…
If you’ve visited Billings Public Library’s Children’s Section in any capacity during the last 26 years, then you’ve most probably experienced Children’s Librarian extraordinaire, Cindy Patterson. Having devoted 36 years to her library career, Cindy retired on August 30. It only seemed fitting, then, to dedicate Fall 2019’s first Friday Night Fun event to celebrating Cindy’s storied career. She shares, “I have genuinely enjoyed my time at Billings Public Library. It has been an honor to instill a love of reading in young people. What a joy to connect a reader to the perfect book. Of all the things I will miss, Story Time is at the top of my list! I will miss my Billings Public Library family and all the wonderful people who visit the Library, but I know great things will continue to happen here!”
Over the years, Cindy has been an incredible friend to Simply Family Magazine, always willing to lend her expertise and latest and greatest finds in children’s literature. Wishing you a beautiful retirement, Cindy!
