Food Truck Battle on the Yellowstone @ MetraPark | June 15 @ 12-7pm
Friends, it is time to put on your Food Truck version of Joey’s “Thanksgiving Pants” because you’re invited to the 2nd annual Food Truck Battle on the Yellowstone where all Billings and surrounding area food trucks are invited. Along with all of that edible goodness, there will be two bands playing throughout the day: D’tective from 12-3pm and Brickhouse Band from 3:30-6:30pm. This family-friendly event includes a Kid’s Zone with a castle tent with princesses and superheroes geared up to take pics with the kiddos; face painting, crafting, a large group painting project, and yard games. Attendees and local celebrity judges will vote on their favorite food truck for “Best in Billings.”
Why battle, you wonder? Well, 10% of the food trucks’ sales will go to the non-profit, Veterans Matter, which assists veterans with obtaining housing through the Veterans Assisted Supported Housing program. There will also be informational booths on location focused on Veterans’ needs. Organized by the Breakfast Exchange Club of Billings, they focus their time on raising cash and investing it in various programs, including Veterans’ programs.
