“Exterior beauty without the depth of a kind soul is merely decoration.”

Get inspired to deck your halls with some creative cues from designer Carrie Klein. SFM got a sneak peek of her stunning home, featured in Billings Symphony’s 2017 Holiday Tour of Homes. Carrie has been in the decorating business for over 20 years, and it’s clear that she loves what she does. Carrie’s decorating mantra is go big or go home, and it’s obvious when you step through the front door that she goes big!

The Stockings Were Hung…

No fireplace, no problem. Take cues from Carrie and unexpectedly display your stockings this year. This large-scale mirror, adorned with a delightful garland, makes a powerful statement hanging stockings and reflecting light, ensuring Santa won’t miss them.

We sat down with Carrie to glean some holiday decorating tips for our readers who suggests, “using resources that could be found right in your backyard. The simplest of things can make the most impact.” Fresh evergreen branches cut and placed in a vase of water or pine cones dipped in glitter are a couple of her suggestions to really make a statement. “I’m always thinking outside of the box to create a look that best fits my personality.” After our visit, it was clear that Carrie lives by the words from her favorite quote above, with a beautiful and kind soul.

Carrie would love to help you with any of your decorating jobs (large or small). She travels outside of Billings and would love to share her passion for decorating with you. Contact her at 406.860.9999, or carriekleindesigns@gmail.com.
