So, listen, there are only 200 spots for the most dedicated of runners wanting to participate in this FUNdraiser that benefits CASA of Yellowstone County – those who register beyond that are designated “virtual participants.” Now, clearly, this run that is a point-five K is for those at the top of their running game. I mean, participants are expected to run for a grueling several MINUTES. Talk about having to dig deep into your reserves. On the bright side, there is a donut station halfway through the race to help see you through.

Though the run is for a serious and incredibly important cause, it’s obvious that the run itself is fun and lighthearted. For only $29.99, you can reserve a spot in this “run.” If you can’t make the actual event, or if you haven't had time to sufficiently train, you can still be a virtual participant for the bargain price of $24.99, including all the swag (except the beer because, logistics).

CASA recruits, trains, and provides volunteers to advocate for kids in the Yellowstone County foster care system. Court Appointed Special Advocates are responsible for visiting the children regularly at the foster home and school, writing monthly reports to the judge and other professionals, attending court hearings to be the voice for the children in court, and being a constant, consistent figure for the children throughout their time in the system.
