Back for its 5th year, Beat the Heat is the 5K that encourages you to get in a foot pursuit with the police – and not get in trouble for it! In this run that’s fun for the whole family, you’ll want to come and run against the officers and stay for the music, food, and drinks afterwards. With plans to celebrate five years in the making, this year’s tagline is: “You don’t have to be a runner; you just have to be fun!” The afterparty is hosted by Casino 8 and features The Max. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Expect some booths to add to the fun for the kids and adults.
