Author Event for Kids: Lisa Ballard @ This House of Books

Ay, mateys, you’re invited to This House of Books where member-owner and award-winning author, Lisa Ballard will be sharing her recently published book, Gasparilla: A Pirate’s Tale. Though this chapter book (Ballard’s first foray into children’s books), is written for ages 8-11 (grades 3-6), children of all ages are invited to attend.
Dressed in pirate garb (attendees are encouraged to do the same), Ballard will share part of her book, which is based on the legend of José Gaspar and takes place on the west coast of Florida, while answering questions along the way – and after - along with signing copies of her book. There will also be snacks afterward.
Gasparilla is Ballard’s 11th book.
