Simply Family Magazine’s May Photography Challenge
Growing up in the South (Texas no less), the month of May will forever hold a special place in my heart. For me, May is synonymous with summer. The neighborhood pool always opened in May, school let out for the year and my family usually planned one solid trip to the beach before the month of June. Summer in a nutshell. Now, I realize the early part of May can still be chilly in Montana. Heck, the entire summer is downright cold up in the mountains. But that’s really part of the Treasure State’s appeal. Isn’t it?For many folks, Montana is a getaway — a haven — from the rest of the crazy, busy world. Just like summer is a getaway from every day “real life.” And also all the ice and the snow. Wink. Summer in Montana is a season to treasure; a time for making memories. So we thought, how better to celebrate summer’s beginning than with a daily photography challenge?
Here’s how it works: the following list is just a suggestion, the kindling to start your “creative fire.” Feel free to make changes and adjustments as necessary.
And don’t feel like you have to follow the list verbatim — shoot the daily topics in whatever order you choose. Get the whole family involved (maybe make virgin margaritas for the kiddos), and don’t forget to have fun!
