Mark your calendar! Billings Buddy Walk 2015
Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 3rd at 11am so you can join this year’s Buddy Walk!The Buddy Walk celebrates Down syndrome Awareness Month (October) and promotes acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome. This walk marks Billings’ 6th year promoting this special event. The walk takes place at ZooMontana and participants can expect Shrine Train Rides, Face Painting, Special Olympics Dance Team and food provided by Tiny’s Tavern. Registration starts at 10am the day of, but you are encouraged to register online at yeskids-mt.com. Participants are $12.00 at the gate, but register early to ensure your t-shirt size.
One of the event’s organizers, Christina Schye, is not only an Advocate, but a mother to 5-year-old Kellan, who is diagnosed with Down syndrome. Billings’ first Buddy Walk coincided with Kellan’s first birthday where he celebrated with 500 people who raised $10,000 to help local families. Now, we’re once again all invited to participate and support families in our community.
Buddy Walk 2015 Registration Options:
- “Extra Special Walker” (includes Free T-Shirt and free food & drinks)(mark an “X” in $$ line)
- Walker with T-shirt (includes access to free food and drinks)
- Regular Walker registration is Free, access to food and drink with donations!
Registration Deadline:
Register by September 15th to guarantee a regular t-shirt. Registrations submitted after the date may not receive t-shirts.
