Get Outside with a (free) Family Fishing Day

With the promise of bright, beautiful, sunshiny days looming before us, you're invited to get into the summer spirit with a free Family Fishing Day, sponsored by The Minnow Bucket, Saturday, May 30, 2015. Whether you’re an experienced fisherperson or a newbie to all things fishing, this is the day for you!

Held at Riverfront Park, this day of fishing fun is totally free and includes your bait and tackle, as well as a lunch of burgers and hot dogs (food from Jimmy John’s and Buffalo Wild Wings). Fish Wildlife and Parks have waived licensing requirements for this event, so all ages are welcome to come down and try their hand at dropping bait. At least 20 fishing poles will be a part of giveaways held throughout the day as well! For those dipping a worm into water for the first time, plenty of experienced fishermen will be ready to lend a helping hand.
