Dream Beds for Kids 2014

Every night we climb into our beds, we pull the covers around us, and the day’s troubles drift away. You might say it’s our sanctuary at the end of our day. But for some Montana children having a safe place to sleep at night is something of their dreams, not their reality. The Billings community has the opportunity to make a difference this coming week by getting out and supporting The Center for Children and Families’ annual fundraiser, Dream Beds for Kids. The Center works to promote the safety, permanency, and well-being of children while strengthening the families around them.

Dream Beds for Kids 2014

You’re invited to the Center Court of Rimrock Mall to check out the incredible creations that will be on display from Monday, October 6, 2014 through Sunday, October 12, 2014. Winners of these spectacular Dream Beds will be drawn on October 12, with beds being awarded immediately at that event. Each bed will have a drawing bucket, so ticket purchasers can choose the exact bed they’re hoping to win (and enter as many times as they want).

Tickets are $5 each or $20 for five.

Volunteers will be on hand all hours that the mall is open to answer questions about The Center and to sell raffle tickets.

Imagine for a moment a child with no safe place to sleep at night – whether this is due to violence within the family, substance abuse, or parental neglect – she/he lacks this basic need. Now imagine that you have the power to help that child by supporting an organization that believes every child deserves to have the chance to grow up with a sense of connection and safety, and works tirelessly so that every kid might get that chance. You can make a difference, and it’s as simple as purchasing a raffle ticket.

The Center for Children and Families has a variety of volunteer opportunities, if you’re interested in learning more about that, contact The Center at 294-5090, or go to their website: www.forfamilies.org, “Get Involved.”
