Grandma's Recipe: Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars
This Sunday, Sept. 7, 2014 is National Grandparents Day and there are many special ways to link one generation to the next. One tradition that can be passed from generation to generation are beloved family recipes, and in honor of grandparents I thought I would share one of our favorite dessert recipes Grandma makes for us. Your family is sure to love these Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars!
Recipe: Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars
- ¼ C. sugar
- ¾ C. brown sugar
- 2 sticks butter (softened)
- 1 package instant vanilla pudding
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- ½ tsp. salt
- 2 ¼ C. flour
- 12 oz. chocolate chips
- ¾ C. M&M’s
In a mixing bowl, mix together first six ingredients. In a separate bowl, mix together dry ingredients. Combine the two mixtures together. Stir in the chocolate chips and M&M’s. Spread in a 9x13 greased pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Enjoy!
