Incredibly Easy Cake Mix Cookies...With Endless Possibilities
I love to cook, but I *can not* bake. I'm more of a "pinch of this...pinch of that" cook which usually doesn't work well with cookies, cakes and such.
That's why I was thrilled when I found a recipe for cake mix cookies. If you don't like to bake (but enjoy a great cookie...or 12) you'll want to give this recipe a try!
All you need is:
- a cake mix (any flavor)
- an egg (my photo shows two...but you only need one)
- 1/2 cup butter
Combine the ingredients at low speed or by hand until moistened. Drop by rounded tablespoons 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake at 350 from 9-12 minutes.
I had a milk chocolate cake mix and added chocolate chips. They turned out amazing! In fact, I'd meant to take a photo of the finished cookies for you but they were gone before I had the opportunity.
What I love most about cake mix cookies (aside from not having to measure...much) is that the possibilities are endless! Here are a few new cookie creations I've been dreaming about.
- red velvet with white chocolate chips
- german chocolate with pecans
- yellow cake with peanut butter chips
- strawberry or lemon cookies with vanilla frosting
- ...and so on...and so on...and so on!
