"A Universe of Dreams" & "Toying with Science" Coming to the Alberta Bair This Month

Mark your calendars! The Alberta Bair Theater will be offering two educational and fun programs later this month that will make your kids crazy about science!

On January 18, 2012, A Universe of Dreams will be showing at 12:30pm. Here is a brief description: 

Universe of Dreams is an extraordinary multi-media concert that evokes all the wonder and mystery of the universe. Dazzling images from the Hubble Space Telescope, readings of authors such as Mary Oliver and Isaac Asimov, and "...music that speaks to the heart in ways that transcend mere language". Neal Conan, host of NPR's Talk of the Nation, serves as narrator, with evocative music of the Celtic/Early Music crossover group Ensemble Galilei.

On January 24th, Toying With Science will be showing at 9:30 am and 12:30 pm. Here's a brief description: 

Toying with Science is a fast-paced, varied and dynamic program. Commissioned and developed with the Museum of Science in Boston, this performance explores among other things, the scientific principles of gravity, lever-age, fulcrums and simple machines. Combining circus skills, mime, original music, and audience involvement , Garry and his audience investigate basic scientific information and delve into the imaginations of scientists who explore our world.
