The Dirty Dash Billings - There's Still Time to Register! July 30th - Metrapark

Fitness and filth are teaming up on July 30, 2011 as more than 1,500 participants attempt to happily conquer mountains of sludge, wallow through pits of mud and make their way down the world’s largest slip ‘n slide at The Dirty Dash 5K Mud Run at MetraPark in Billings. The event kicks off Montana’s first ever mud run obstacle course where a military boot camp meets your inner five-year-old’s fantasy and subsequently converts boy to man and then…man to swine.

Race participants, eager to tackle the mud in style, are known to dress up in teams of superheroes, hillbillies, rock stars or bridesmaids - the more creative and absurd, the better. In addition, it is not uncommon to find runners questioning what hurts more - their sides from laughing so hard at the surrounding mud drenched costumes, or their legs from trudging through the ten uncompromising obstacles. Costume or not, participants will find themselves facing the course with a complete lack of shame as they get well acquainted with the mud - which will surely dress their face with a smile.

Bring the Kids!

This entertaining event also features a kids mud run known as The Piglet Plunge for those 12 years of age and under. More than 200 kids are expected to show up for their chance to bask in the mud pits of The Dirty Dash. Let it be known, this may be the

only time and place one might feel disappointed that their kid did not get dirty enough.

Don’t Want to Run?

Runners aren’t the only ones who get in on the action; spectators enjoy free entrance to the event and the chance to purchase and launch water balloons at oncoming runners as part of the Hog Wash obstacle. All proceeds from water balloon sales will go to directly to the Billings Family YMCA. A variety of local vendors, games, food booths and more will also be present at the event for all to enjoy. Not only does this family fun event promise to benefit one’s cardiovascular system, but The Dirty Dash will also donate 20% of each registration fee to the Billings Family
