2016 Easter Egg Hunts in Billings

Easter’s coming early this year, so dig out those baskets because the Easter Bunny is hopping his way through Billings, leaving eggs and goodies galore in his wake! Oh, and don’t forget the camera!

Hopping Around Billings: 2016 Easter Egg Hunts

*Easter Fun

Location: The Art of Play, 605 North 24th Street West

Date & Time: Saturday, March 19 @ 1-4pm

Details: Get a jump on your Easter festivities with this Easter Fun event for littles ages 0-5. A variety of Easter-themed activities are planned, including a photo booth (printed pics are $1), crafts, and infant sensory play. Cost is $7/child (regular entry charge), adults get in free.

Annual Easter Egg Hunt

Location: Laurel Health & Rehab Center, 820 3rd Avenue in Laurel

Date & Time: Friday, March 25 @ 11am

Details: Eggs a-plenty will be scattered and ready for snagging at this free Easter Egg Hunt. There will be designated hunting areas for kiddos ages 1-3, 4-6, and 7-10. Prizes will be awarded in each division.

Following the Easter Egg Hunt, kids can explore the petting zoo, take pictures with the Easter Bunny, and enjoy refreshments.

Scheels Easter Egg Hunt

Location: Scheels, 1121 Shiloh Crossing Blvd

Date & Time: Saturday, March 26 @ 9-11am

Details: When you arrive for this free Easter Egg Hunt pop by the front table for all the information you’ll need to get started. For ages 4-12, kiddos will use clues to make their way around the store finding eggs, candy, and special treats!

**All children must be accompanied by an adult.

ExtravaganZOO

Location: ZooMontana, 2100 South Shiloh Road

Date & Time: Saturday, March 26 @ 10am-4pm

Details: ZooMontana’s ExtravaganZOO has the same great name, but some important changes to be aware of…There will NOT be a traditional Easter Egg Hunt this year. Rather, make your way out to the Zoo for all kinds of Easter-themed games and activities, a scavenger hunt, and bounce castle! Refreshments will be available. You’ll have a chance to snap a pic with the Easter Bunny (and receive a prize). There will also be a special appearance by IronMan between 10:30am and 2:30pm.

Regular zoo admission fees apply, free for members.

*Heritage Playapalooza

Location: Western Heritage Center, 2822 Montana Avenue, Billings

Date & Time: Saturday, March 26 @ 10am-3pm

While not an Easter Egg Hunt per se, definitely something to add to to your list of fun this Easter weekend!

Bring out the whole family – from your littles all the way to grandma/pa – for an engaging trip down memory lane. Parents and grandparents will delight in sharing the games of their youth with the kiddos. Whether you’re there when the doors open or you pop by after you’ve run the Easter Egg Hunt gamut, this annual event that raises funds for the educational programming at Western Heritage Center will have food, fun, and prizes galore whenever you arrive. Easter and spring-themed components will weave their way through the games and activities. Parents, you might even be able to help out the Easter Bunny by snagging some of your family’s favorite games from WHC’s Museum Store!

All games/activities and food are available are available for tickets. Tickets: $0.50 each or bundles of 22 for $10. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

*Laurel Junior Jaycees Easter Egg Hunt

Location: Thomson Park in Laurel, 1st Ave North & East 8th Street

Date: Saturday, March 26 @ 10am

Details: For ages 0-12, this Easter Egg Hunt will offer four hunts for ages grouped as following: 0-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12. There is no cost and participants are asked to line up at the Picnic Shelter.

MSU-Billings Easter Egg Hunt

Location: Peaks to Plains Park, 1500 University Drive

Date & Time: Saturday, March 26 @ 10:30am

Details: This Easter Egg Hunt is for kiddos ages 0-10. Different areas will be setup throughout the park for a variety of age groups where kiddos will be on the lookout for eggs, candy, and prizes! Families are also encouraged to bring non-perishable food items as MSUB kicks off their annual food drive for a local organization (to be determined).

Easter Egg-splosion!

Location: The Rock Church in Laurel, 820 W. 9th Street

Date: Saturday, March 26 @ 11am-1pm

Details: With 50,000 eggs prepared for this Easter Egg-splosion, it’s an afternoon for the whole family to enjoy! Age-appropriate hunts will be conducted, beginning with the youngest of the hunters. Expect an appearance by the Easter Bunny (available for photo ops), a bounce house, carnival-style games, snacks, and face painting.

EKids! Easter Egg Hunt

Location: Lewis & Clark Middle School, 1315 Lewis Avenue

Date & Time: Saturday, March 26 @ 11am-1pm

Details: The EKids! annual Easter Egg Hunt comes complete with 30,00 candy-filled eggs. Hosted by Emmanuel Baptist Church the afternoon includes hunts for ages ranging from newborn to 6th graders, games, cotton candy, popcorn, hotdogs, and inflatable slides and jumpers – all for free!s

Faith e Easter Egg Hunt

Location: Faith Evangelical Church, 3145 Sweet Water Drive

Date & Time: Saturday, March 26 @ 11am

Details: With 28,000 eggs filled and ready for hunting, Faith e’s annual Easter egg hunt is free and open to the community. Expect three hunting fields designated for ages 0-4, 5-7, and 8-10 with staggered start times. Nestled inside a few eggs for each age group are prize tickets that the winning hunters will be able to redeem for a special prize!

*Annual South Park Easter Egg Hunt

Location: South Park, 6th Avenue South

Date & Time: Saturday, March 26 @ 12pm

This annual Easter Egg Hunt – touted as being the longest running in Billings – is for ages 0-12, with a designated hunting area for kiddos with special needs. This hunt is organized by the South Side Neighborhood Task Force and made possible thanks to the help of numerous sponsors, like: Elks Lodge #394, Passages/Alternatives, Walsh & Ronquillo Family, C.L.D.I., local businesses and non-profits.

YMCA Aquat-Egg Hunt

Location: Billings YMCA, 402 North 32nd Street

Date & Time: Saturday, March 26 @ 1pm

Details: Oh dear, the Easter Bunny has spilled his eggs in the pool! Kiddos ages 3 and older are needed to help rescue the Easter Bunnies eggs. This unique, water-filled hunt is free and open to the community. Registration in advance is a must, and you’ll want to hop right on it because limited spots are available! Register online at www.billingsymca.org or pop by the Y.

Families with small children will need a parent to get in the water with them. The festivities begin at 1pm, but the hunts will be divided in groups by age.
