Teacher Christmas Gift Ideas

Christmas is nearly upon us and you're probably up to your eyes with holiday preparations. Gifts are being bought, there are cookies to be made and Christmas cards to be sent. There is bound to be someone you've forgotten, but don't let that someone be your child's teacher! Teachers are sometimes overlooked, yet they make some of the biggest differences in kids' (and parents’) lives! So this Christmas, don't let the opportunity to say "thank you, you are appreciated" and give a gift to those teachers pass you by. In the words of Albert Einstein, "It is the supreme art of a teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge." Teachers do so much, so we’ve pulled together some gift ideas to remind them how much they are appreciated.

Teacher Gift Ideas:

(all of these go great with a handmade card from your kiddo!)

  • Gift card to go out to eat
  • Gift certificate for a pedicure
  • Gift certificate to SCRAP-Billings (or other creative supply stores)
    • Or simply go the school supplies route. If this seems boring, get creative in your packaging!

  • Movie/Theater tickets
  • Coffee cup with a coffee card (perhaps look beyond the traditional mug)
  • Monogrammed canvas bag (i.e. LL Bean type)
  • Gift basket of baked goodies or gourmet food

Depending on your school, contact your school office and ask about donating to your teacher and their "Christmas bonus".

If you're a creative type, making something personalized or handmade is always fun. One year, I made a music inspired necklace for my daughter's music teacher and a "teacher" apron.
