"Trick or Feed" - a Halloween Night Food Drive...and a CHALLENGE for our Readers!

I am excited to announce the launch of a new service project called, "Trick or Feed".  The concept is simple.  You ask your friends, neighbors & family members to set aside non-perishable food items on Halloween night and you (and your children) collect them when you are out trick-or-treating.  Then, you donate your collected items to your local food bank.

I've included a brief "how-to" along with printable flyers, posters & a sample email that you can use to promote the food drive in your neighborhood at TrickorFeed.com.

I'd like to challenge all of our readers to get involved and share this service project with your friends and family.  If you are a Facebook user, join us on the invitation page and encourage your friends and family to do the same.  If you are not a Facebook user, let your friends and family know about the Halloween night food drive by emailing this link to them!

This is a great way to help fill up our local food pantries before the holiday season and I encourage you to get involved!  It is simple...fun, and will help you teach your children a valuable lesson about serving others on a night that's typically all about the "gimme...gimme...gimmies!"  :)

Will you take the challenge?  Don't forget to photograph your food collections so we can showcase your hard work on SimplyFamilyMagazine.com!
