Valentine’s Date Night (In)

This weekend is Valentine’s Day, so you know there are plenty of fabulous options to choose from if you’re hoping to get out of the house. But what if you couldn’t find a babysitter in time? Or maybe you don’t have a lot of extra cash to spend, but you’d still like to do something special for your spouse. Or you’re a procrastinating planner? Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be over-the-top expensive or extravagant. This is not an episode of The Bachelor for goodness sakes! It just has to come from the heart. So why not try a Date Night in?

Family Game Night with a Sexy Twist

Got littles? Can’t bear the thought of excluding them from the Valentine’s Day fun? Start the evening with some good old fashioned board games like Candy Land, Monopoly, and even a little Twister. But what’s a family game night without treats? Don’t forget to serve classic goodies like popcorn, candy, and ice cream sundaes! Then – once the kiddos are off to sleep – relocate the party to the bedroom. The games can then take on a slightly sexier slant...

Create a Sensual Spa Night for Two

Managed to get a little alone time for the evening? Why not create a relaxing retreat for you and your honey to enjoy? Light some candles, put on some soft background music, and prepare a menu of available services – think facials, hand, foot, and full body massage options. Serve champagne, decadent chocolate, and fresh fruit. Enjoy a luscious bubble bath together...

Pitch a Love Tent

With the unpredictable Montana weather, a Valentine’s camping adventure outdoors may not be a viable option. But that doesn’t mean it can’t be done. Pitch a tent in your living room – you may have to move some furniture – complete with sleeping bags and strategically strung twinkle lights. Make your love tent the most glamorous thing your sweetie has ever seen! Grill some steaks, or hamburgers and hot dogs for dinner. Make s’mores for dessert. Chat, snuggle, and watch cheesy rom-coms. This date’s got all the makings of the perfect Valentine’s night in!

Romantic Breakfast in Bed

Come February 14, dinner on the town is notoriously expensive. Granted, if you’re able to secure a reservation before everything’s completely booked that is. Why not skip the crowds and avoid breaking the bank this year? Spend a leisurely morning in bed, cuddled up with your favorite love muffin. Surprise your sweetie with an extravagant breakfast in bed – complete with all of his or her favorites. (I’m partial to French toast myself. Can I get an amen?) Fresh flowers on the bedside table are always a nice touch, and you can’t forget the mimosas! Who knows, you may even decide to stay right where you are, all Valentine’s Day long. Cheers to that!
