2014 Alive After 5 Concert Series Kickoff

It’s a kickoff into summer with the added (ongoing) bonus of offering the working weary a much-needed pushing-through-to-the-end-of-the-week diversion. Yes, it’s that time of year again: the Downtown Billings Association is excited to be bringing Alive After 5 back for its 11th season. The party is getting started this Thursday, June 5 from 5-8pm at the Fieldhouse Café, featuring bluegrass band the Lil’ Smokies.

The 2014 series will feature 13 events, running Thursdays from June 5-Aug. 28. Each week will see a different venue and band, ultimately combining local taverns, bands, and great eats. Devoted attendees will notice new venues and entertainment have been worked into the 2014 Alive After 5 lineup.

Families need to mark *Aug. 21 on their calendars, as the Downtown Billings Association will be hosting a Family Fun Night at North 31st Street and 4th Avenue North. Families can expect a Kid’s Entertainment Area with crafts, games, a climbing wall, and bouncy slide. The night will also include food trucks, music by the Midlife Chryslers, and local craft beer and spirits.
