Calling All Kiddos - 6-16!!!! Fun Idea!

Calling all Kids ages 6-16!

Looking for something to do on that lazy summer afternoon? Maybe hoping to pull the kids away from the “screens” for awhile? Need to have it be something creative and fun that will “draw” them to the activity?

How about the chance to design the SIMPLY FAMILY logo for the month of October? I think it might be a little exciting for your child to see their artwork on the front of 15,000 copies of the biggest local magazine…to win a back to school shopping spree worth $200…and to get a personal interview in the magazine on top of all of that! I was an “art kid” and this would have kept me obsessed for DAYS! Heck, I think it will keep your little football player going for a good bit of time…even if he’s NOT an “art kid”!

Full details of the contest will be on the website www.simplyfamilymagazine.com within days….but some sketching and gathering of ideas might not hurt while you are waiting to download the “official” entry form. Here’s a quick summary:

Let’s go kids! Ages 6-16!!! Grab your sketch pad, find a shady tree, kick back and sketch, draw or paint away! Use your imagination!

The winning logo entry will win:

• their logo featured on the cover of the September 2013 issue of Simply Family Magazine.

• a personal interview for the September 2013 issue of Simply Family Magazine.

• a $200 back to school shopping spree.

Official Contest Rules:

All entries must be submitted or postmarked by June 10th, 2013 at midnight to qualify.

All entries must include the words “Simply Family Magazine”. Logo can but does not have to include the tagline of “local family life. fun. inspired. simplified.”

Entrants must be 6 to 16 years of age. Up to 5 logos from all entries submitted will be chosen as finalists and will go live on simplyfamilymagazine.com on July 15, 2013 for an online public vote. Online voting will close on August 15th, 2013 at midnight MST. The logo with the most public votes will win. By submitting your entry, you give full permission and rights for your artwork for use by Simply Family Magazine. By submitting your artwork, you agree to let Simply Family Magazine publicize/print your name as “artist” of submitted logo. Electronic submissions must be 300dpi resolution. The original paper copy may be requested if needed.
